| Husband Begs For Safe Return of His Wife By: James Clark and Dave Walker Danny Harrelson could hardly get the words out as he called a news conference to offer a reward and plead for the safe return of his wife. For the second time in two days, a grief stricken husband comes forward to beg for the safe return of his wife. Danny Harrelson asked the Lubbock news media to come see him at the Lubbock police department. His wife, Louetta Kay Harrelson along with Peggy Sue Merimon disappeared last Wednesday at noon. (Merimon's husband made an emotional plea Tuesday). Both women worked at the Lubbock State School. Mr. Harrelson could not hide his deep pain as he spoke. He fought back tears as he said, “Her picture is… Her picture is… accurate as shown in the media except her hair is somewhat shorter. She does take high blood pressure medicine and she needs it daily.” The Merimon family offered a $25,000 reward a few days ago. Mr. Harrelson followed their lead yesterday. Harrelson says, “Chris and I are in uncharted waters and we feel lost and helpless. We continue to do everything the police ask us to do and we do everything we know to do. Our family is of limited means but we do want to offer a 25-thousand dollar reward for the safe return of Kay and the arrest and conviction of person or persons involved in her disappearance.” Someone asked Mr. Harrelson about punishing the person who take his wife and Ms. Merimon. He said he didn’t care about that man; he just wants his wife back. The women were last seen during the Wednesday lunch break. They left with an unidentified man. He is described as middle aged, white male, with a gray beard. His car is described as a gray or silver 4-door sedan with rust. Ms. Harrelson is described as a 51-year-old white female, five-foot seven, 135 pounds with blonde, partially gray hair. Ms. Merimon is described as a 61-year-old white female, five-foot-six, 150 pounds, with black hair and green eyes.
