| Two Liberty County Deputies Shot By: MetroSoruce News (Houston, TX) -- Two Liberty County Sheriff's deputies were shot this morning in a standoff near Dayton. Authorities say the incident happened in the Woodland Hills community around 5:45 a.m. One officer was taken to a nearby hospital, while the other was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center in Houston. Baytown SWAT officers, along with Dayton and Liberty sheriff's deputies and state troopers, flocked to the scene where a suspect was holed up. The conditions of the officers are not known and there are no other details available.
