| Delay Talks About His Case By: MetroSoruce News (Sugarland, TX) -- Former U.S. House Republican Majority Leader Tom Delay has spent the past four years fighting the conspiracy charges that forced him into retirement in 2005. Now, the man who became known as the "Hammer" during his years in Congress is talking about the case. He told CNN's "State of the Union" the ethics committee abused its power when handing down an admonishment to Delay, who's suspected of conspiring to violate election law. Delay called his indictment a "criminalization of politics" but said he knew the game. He continues to work behind the scenes as a political consultant.
