Casa Needs A New Home

By: CASA

Court Appointed Special Advocates of the South Plains, Inc. is an organization that is dedicated in advocating for abused and neglected children. We believe that every child deserves a safe and permanent home.
As the community need has risen for additional CASA volunteers, CASA has increased their staff to recruit, train and support the new volunteers required to meet this need. In the last four years, the annual CASA volunteer base has grown by 146 volunteers and CASA has added four full-time staff members, one part-time staff member.
The growth is wonderful in the aspect of allowing us the opportunity to help more children on the South Plains. However, CASA has outgrown our current office space. It is important to have enough space for all of our volunteers and staff. Volunteers especially need the space to review files, make calls or speak privately with their CASA supervisor.
CASA has been provided the opportunity to buy a building that will perfectly meet our needs and leave us room for future growth. However, CASA is asking for the help of everyone in the community. CASA is in the midst of our final push to raise the last $10,000 of the needed $100,000 in pledges in order to make this dream a reality.
CASA is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization so your gift may qualify as a tax-deductible donation. You can pledge $1,000 over the next three years (which is only $28 per month if paid out monthly) or give a one-time gift in any amount. Everyone who donates at least $1,000 will be honored on the “Hope Builders Wall” in the new building. Office and Conference Room Dedications are also available from $2,500 to $10,000. CASA hopes you will join the effort and help us secure a permanent home.
“The role of CASA is find a forever home for children,” Amy Paiva, Executive Director said. “And it’s ironic because now CASA is in need of a permanent home as well.”

For your convenience, CASA has posted a copy of the pledge form on their website at www.lubbockcasa.org. If you have any questions or would like to further discuss “CASA’s Happy Home Capital Campaign,” please feel free to call at 763-CASA.
